Zone Conference Miracles
At all the Zone Conferences, President Sainbury opens the floor for missionaries to share their miracles. It is one of our favorite parts of the day.
One set of Sisters were doing service helping a man set up Christmas trees for the Bed and Breakfast where he was employed. "One Sister related, "It was the cutest B&B EVER! and we were helping him so he could come to church on Sunday instead of having to set up all the trees on Sunday. Being able to set up Christmas trees helped him and was a tender mercy to both of us."
Two missionaries were riding the free bus in Starkville and a man boarded saying, "I am on parole and stuck in Mississippi and REALLY need Jesus right now!! One of the missionaries replied, "Here is Jesus in this book of Mormon." The missionaries explained to the man about the origins of the Book of Mormon and how it testifies of Christ. The man would tell every person climbing onto the bus, "Hey we are reading the Book of Mormon right now, would like to join us?" The missionaries ended up giving every person on the bus a copy, including the driver!!
On the way to Zone Conference, lady was stranded in her car and the elders pushed her around the corner where she could get some gas. The lady was so thankful and set up an appointment to have the missionaries teach her.
A less active ward member had a fire ball blow up his trailer and everything was destroyed except the couch he was sitting on. He escaped with no injuries and attributed the protection from wearing Temple garments. The man has not missed a Sunday since this happened!!
Two Sister missionaries were taken to a friend of one their contacts, whose brother was in a car accident. The girl was crying and one of the Sisters felt impressed to read Ether chapter 12 to her. One of my favorite verses in 6 says, " I, Moroni would speak somewhat concerning these things; I would show unto the world that faith is things which are hoped for and not seen;wherefore, dispute not because ye see not,for ye receive no witness until after the trial of your faith." and verse 41 says,"I would commend you to seek this Jesus of whom the prophets and apostles have written, that the grace of God the Father, and also the Holy Ghost, which beareth record of them, may be and abide in you forever. Amen." The friend was very comforted with peace.
A man spent 11 years in prison and on the very day he was released encountered our Elders saying, "Hey, are you giving away Bibles?" They told him they could get him a Bible, but they were sharing The Book of Mormon. The man was so happy to receive a copy!
The Sisters had a mattress pad given to them to share and they wanted to wash it at the laundromat. While they were washing it, they met a lady who was very interested in listening to their message. "There are no co-incidents!"
