A Walk in Aldredge Gardens and Moving Johnsons
We have driven past beautiful Aldredge Gardens many times on the way to and from the Mission Office for over eight months now!! One Sunday evening, Elder Barfuss drove there for a nice evening walk! It started out as the Aldredge's personal home and acreage and has since been turned into a destination for weddings, photos and open to the public for enjoyment. The immaculate grounds are lovely and maintained by endowment from companies and individuals. It's a wonderful, peaceful place to reflect and enjoy nature's beauties!!

We enjoyed the help of four Elders moving everything out of Johnson's senior apartment since they finished their mission. The next couple will be living closer to the missionaries because Johnsons were burning through a tank of gas every couple of days helping transport missionaries without cars. Moving senior apartments is a great deal of work because they have couches, large beds, heavy desks and dressers. Plus five years of seniors supplying the cupboards with every wonderful gadget you can imagine!! There were extra patriotic decorative serving trays and tin tubs that Sister Barker was glad to have for the MLC (Missionary Leadership Conference) lunches she prepares each month for 30 people!! The Johnsons left their apartment really clean, so we finished in around three hours. Everyone will miss them so much, Johnson's were loved by all who knew them.
