Spring Missionary Miracles

Two Sister Missionaries told us about a Free Bible referral that they followed up.  When they took the Bible to this women and began teaching her, she expressed how God had been talking to her for a long time.  God was telling her that there were other scriptures from when He appeared to some of the ancient people.  This women and her husband had fostered 29 children throughout her life trying to help others in  her tiny little house.  Everything the missionaries are teaching her, she has felt earlier through prayer that these things are all true!!  The Sister are so excited to be working with her!
President Sainsbury told about visiting an elderly lady in a nursing home who was close to 100 years old, when he was in law school at BYU.  He and his buddy visited for about two years before they made the following connection.  The missionary in California who had converted this elderly women's family was President Sainsbury's buddy's father!! The whole two years they had been sharing time together by only first names!!  His buddy one day mentioned that his father had served his mission in California and she asked him his last name and made the discovery!!
Elder and Sister Turnbow arrived last evening for their mission and we met them over dessert at President Sainsbury's home.  They did not request any particular place to serve and wanted to just serve where the Lord needed them.  When they received their call to Alabama, both were very pleased because Elder Turnbow's 3rd Great-Grandfather was the first convert to the church in Alabama.  They have some amazing histories they plan to share about the early days of the church!! Sister Turnbow's father had a valve replacement by our new Prophet, President Nelson!!
Elder and Sister Barfuss, Elder Burley, Elder Egbert, and the Turnbows all helped move the furniture and house hold goods into their new apartment Tuesday morning in Clanton. They are in the peach capital of Alabama!! It was great and felt like a miracle to have so much help, where other times it is just Elder and Sister Barfuss alone. Just the day before we found some nice chairs at a consignment shop after looking for a couple of weeks for their apartment!!
The Spanish Elders have had two recent baptisms, one a young boy and the second a man in his early 30's.  Elder Snow said everything went well in spite of mistakes like forgetting a dry set of garments, the wrong name on the dessert cupcakes and the wrong song in the program! They enjoyed telling us about it during their weekly dinner at the Barfuss home.
In March the ABM had 20 baptisms!!
Beautiful Spring flowers everywhere!!
